Registration opens November 1, 2023
A 15ish mile lollipop course with ~4500ft of gain starting and finishing from Scott Road in Tamworth, NH. Runners will start in a field and then encounter rolling single track to make their way to the Hammond Trail. At the Liberty Trail junction you will lose all of your elevation and end up at the trailhead where awesome volunteers will be waiting for you at the fully stocked aid station.
You will then enter on the Forest Service trailhead where you will run on rolling single track to the Brook trail and then make an arduous loop up and over the 3478 ft summit of Mt Chocorua on trails filled with rocks, roots, boulders, steep ledges and even a handful of rivers and brooks filled with frigid mountain water!
After descending off the mountain you’ll then make your way back to finish line where the party is waiting for you! In the large field at the finish line.

This is a difficult race. There is no time cutoff. But, everyone should ideally be finished by 5pm. So, the race staff needs to know that all entrants have the trail running experience to complete the loop safely and in a reasonable amount of time. Therefore, we ask that you please have completed a hilly and moderately technical trail race of AT LEAST 10 miles OR have sufficient experience in the mountains before signing up.
Start Time: The race starts at 8am
Bib Pickup: Pickup is 4-6pm Friday night and from 5am-7:15am race morning. The location is at the end of Scott Road in Tamworth, NH. Please bring your gear (see Mandatory gear tab) to check in. You will not be allowed to start the race without the mandatory gear.
If you do not have your BIB number in hand by 7:15 race morning you will have to wait until after the race starts to get your BIB and your time will not be adjusted. We don’t want to start the race late.
Aid: There is one aid station ~6 miles in.
Crew: No spots for crew, they can hang out at the start/finish and wait for your arrival.
Pacers: NO PACERS
Mountain weather is subject to extreme changes and a large portion of the course over the mountain is fully exposed to the elements. Be responsible. You will be DISQUALIFIED if you do not carry the mandatory gear listed below.
